A federal jury in Miami convicted a Florida man and woman today for their roles in a conspiracy to defraud Medicare by billing over $93 million for home health therapy services that were never rendered. According to court documents and evidence presented at trial, Karel Felipe, 42, of Miami Shores, and Tamara Quicutis, 54, of Hialeah, conspired with others to submit false bills to Medicare for three home health companies located in Michigan. Their co-conspirators recruited individuals from Cuba to sign Medicare enrollment documents and appear as the owners of the home health agencies to conceal the identities of Felipe, Quicutis, and others involved in the scheme. Felipe, Quicutis, and their co-conspirators used these home health companies to submit claims for services that were not rendered using lists of stolen patient identities.   Desperation to continue the status quo- a period during which  Nigerians have over the years been deceived into perpetual political, economic  and social bondage-informs the insensitivity of the leadership[ at all levels of government. To this  extent, confusion, disagreement and rancor now characterize the relationship between the leadership, their cronies, proteges and fronts. Interestingly, millions of Nigerians have eventually woken up from their  deep slumber  and are now anxious to know what befell them.

Mothers pass through periods of great joys  and intense sorrows. But once mothers submit their lives to God, our Savior, every season of their motherhood serves His eternal purposes. Luke 2 : 1-7, 25-35 And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus, that all the world should be taxed. 2 ( And  this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.) 3 And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city. 4 And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:) 5 To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child. 6 And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered. 7 And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn. Luke 2 : 25-35 And, ...

Organ harvesting is now a common place in different parts of Nigeria, just as kidnappings and ritual killings. Sadly,  this ugly development continues unabated with the active involvement of some of those in the health, law enforcement professions and government circles.  Indeed, the hunger and poverty in the land and the insensitive  nature, attitude and behavior of the government has forced  a number of Nigerians to look for organ harvesting, kidnappings and ritual killings as certain means to various ends. This is disturbing.

God our creator   is honored and worshiped because He alone  can clear our record. God offers  forgiveness for all our sins when we ask for it. Psalm 130 (A Song of degrees.) Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O LORD. 2 Lord, hear my voice: let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications. 3 If thou, LORD, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand? 4 But  there is  forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared. 5 I wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope. 6 My soul  waiteth  for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning:  I say, more than  they that watch for the morning. 7 Let Israel hope in the LORD: for with the LORD  there is  mercy, and with him  is  plenteous redemption. 8 And he shall redeem Israel from all his iniquities.
