About Filthiness



In the quest for righteousness, we should turn away from all filthiness. God wants us to separate ourselves from spiritual garbage.

When we cultivate Godliness, sin will never flourish in our lives.

The recent Kaduna train attack and other violent crimes in different parts of Nigeria which have resulted in the loss of thousands of innocent lives have confirmed that the Government at all levels no longer values human life. This assertion was made by an ex-Officio of the Oyo state council of the Trade Union Congress(TUC), who is also a former chairman of the union in the state, Comrade Andrew Emelieze. ''Thousand of human lives have been lost to terrorist attacks, ritual killings, armed robberies, and other violent crimes in various parts of Nigeria. The most recent is the Kaduna train attack. It has been sorrows, tears, and blood all the way. Human lives no longer matter to those in government at all levels. They are all evil and diabolic. They feast on human blood. The killings are the design of those in power. May God protects us all,'' Comrade Emelieze prayed.

  Over 10 years after the privatization of the electricity sector in Nigeria, millions of Nigerians still remain without meters and regular electricity supply. Indeed, the set objectives of the privatization are yet to be achieved, while the number of defects in the regulatory policy have been brought to the fore. Infrastructural development in the sector remains a major issue, just as distribution and generation companies struggle to impress electricity consumers. The situation remains the same as a result of the unknown interest of government officials.

Former Kentucky Federal Corrections Supervisor Sentenced to 66 Months

  A former Bureau of Prisons supervisor, Kevin X. Pearce, 39, was sentenced yesterday to 66 months in prison followed by one year of supervised release for leading two cover-ups of assaults of inmates held at U.S. Penitentiary Big Sandy. Pearce was convicted after a six-day trial. His co-defendants, former corrections officers Samuel Patrick and Clinton Pauley, previously pleaded guilty and were respectively   sentenced   to 36 and 40 months in prison.  “As a supervisor, this defendant was responsible for safeguarding the rights of thousands of inmates, but he abused his authority by leading cover-ups of two violent assaults of inmates in his custody,” said Assistant Attorney General Kristen Clarke of the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division. “The Justice Department will continue to hold accountable law enforcement officials who violate federal civil rights laws or who cover up violations.
