The 100 days of the present administration in Nigeria have been described as a period of torture, difficulties and hardships. This is the submission of a former chairman of the Oyo state council of the Trade Union Congress(TUC) Comrade Andrew Emelieze. ''The first 100 days of this administration have been 100 days of torture, difficulties, hardships, sorrows and lamentations for Nigerians. The administration should come out with distinct and clear-cut policies that will take the country out of the deep pit it now finds itself.'' ''Nigerians are yet to feel the impact of the so-called distribution of palliatives in the states because of the dubious ways these palliatives were shared among those who know themselves. Almost nothing got to the majority of impoverished Nigerians,'' Comrade Emelieze declared.

   The future seems bleak for children and the youth in Nigeria as the cost of education at all levels goes beyond reach. The leadership at all levels may not be sensitive to the difficulties the citizens are passing through to meet the increasing cost of education. Sadly, the children of these leaders are in choice schools around the globe. Democracy ensures that citizens have access to uninhibited and quality education. But in this case, the cost of education may not justify the service delivery in the education sector.

The chairman of the Non-Academic Staff Union and Associated Institutions(NASU) University College Hospital(UCH)branch,Ibadan, Nigeria has been elected to the National Executive Council(NEC) of the union. This disclosure was made on Monday by Kehinde Abiona in a chat. ''The embattled NASU UCH branch chairman has broken the jinx by becoming member of the National Executive Council of NASU. We have over 2,000 members in UCH. Foir the first time ever, a sitting chairman of NASU UCH has been elected a member of NEC. The leadership in Zamfara state must have taken active steps to address the major security challenge of banditry in villages, including Kwatar, Bungudu and Boko. It is assumed that normalcy has returned to Mada, Wonaka, Ruwan Bore all in the Gusau Local Government Area, and other villages that are undereported. The people must be rested assured that the government is responsive and sensitive to their plight. Perhaps. The leadership has all it takes to restore peace in different parts of the state.
